Not really. We all heard the rumors that there was something different about him, something that made him an oddity but we didn't know anything until he saved us from Serpent.
We were told afterwards that there are several rules regarding his treatment within the CCG. One of them is that he is to be treated as human.
And yes, I was scared but not because of the fact he was ghoul. It was the way he fought Serpent that scared me. Do you remember when I said before that sometimes I'm scared I might lose control? That's what I saw when I saw Sasaki fight that night. It was like something snapped and a floodgate opened, bringing out all these emotions I had never seen on his face before.

I suppose so. I can't say I really understand how all of this will work but do you really think the part of you that lived as Sasaki will truly vanish completely?
He really takes his role as mentor to us seriously but like I said he can sometimes be a mother hen. He cooks for us a lot since he always wants to make sure we're eating right and getting what we need. He trains with Urie, helps Shirazu to be a better squad leader, plays with Saiko and we talk about books a lot.
But that doesn't mean he goes easy on us. Sasaki is really strict when it comes to training and I'm already hurting thinking about how easily he can throw me around.
I suppose he wants to make sure we face everything at our best and don't belittle ourselves or our achievements just because others might think negatively of us for being Quinx.
You know, I'm not sure but everything he cooks is really good so he's got it down really well. As for what kind of books? It might be easier to ask what sort of books he doesn't like. His room is full of bookcases and sometimes I think the floor is going to collapse because he has so many.
The others? Hmm. Urie is very straightforward and always aims for the top, he's the only one of us four to earn a Osmanthus Medal but sometimes I think he pushes himself too much His father was an Investigator too, if I remember right.
Shirazu is very loud and has a lot of funny experessions. Sometimes he doesn't think things through enough but he's very considerate about the rest of the team and does his best to look out for us.
For awhile it was hard to get Saiko to work. She'd rather play games and have a more care-free life but in these past months she has gotten better at joining in our missions. She's a lot of fun though and always knows how to make me smile.
[ kaneki... isn't sure what he feels knowing that Sasaki and him share similarities. In a way, it's only natural, but at the same time... Sasaki isn't Kaneki. No matter how many books he likes. ]
